WAYS for FAMILIES to

EXPERIENCE DEEP CONVERSION of HEART

During the Season of LENT, the Church guides us to focus on three main ways for us to show how sorry we are for our sins and to make up for the harm our sins have caused ourselves and others: PRAYER, FASTING, and ALMSGIVING. These acts of PENANCE help us to grow closer to God and reflect His compassion and character in our daily lives.

PRAY more DEEPLY: Some Examples

  1. Attend an ASH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5 service to humbly receive your ASHES: (See Schedule). The act of receiving ashes helps us to remember that we are simply dust without God’s new divine life and power breathed into us by the Holy Spirit.

    As we receive the ashes, we ask God to cleanse the deepest parts of our hearts and souls to be completely submitted to His Will for our lives….as our beloved Mary, Mother God did.

  2. ASK GOD with a humble heart every day of LENT:

    Lord, what is YOUR WILL for me today?

  3. Find a daily devotional for LENT that will help you grow in the COMPASSION and MERCY of JESUS:  It’s Not Too Late…Experience DIVINE MERCY Like Never Before!

  4. Listen to the ROSARY IN A YEAR PODCAST.

  5. Ponder The Apostolic Life from Pope Francis Daily

    He gave his life to save me;

    and now he is living at my side every day

    to teach, strengthen, and free me.
