GOSPEL: Mark 10:46-52
As Jesus was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a sizable crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging. On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, son of David, have pity on me."And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent.
But he kept calling out all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me."Jesus stopped and said, "Call him."So they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage; get up,Jesus is calling you."He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.Jesus said to him in reply, "What do you want me to do for you?"The blind man replied to him, "Master, I want to see."Jesus told him, "Go your way;your faith has saved you." Immediately he received his sightand followed him on the way.

REFLECTION #2. on Mark 10:46-52
What are the most important lessons from this story of Blind Bartimaeus' Healing?
Bartimaeus BELIEVED that Jesus was the promised Messiah from God who came to rescue us.
Bartimaeus PERSEVERED in asking for God's healing from the INCARNATE Son of God.
Bartimaeus showed his GRATITUDE for his healing by FOLLOWING JESUS (to become all he was created to be)
If we ALL follow Bartimaeus' example, we can continue to grow and expand God's Kingdom on Earth !!!!
As God's DISCIPLES (followers), we carry on what Jesus did in this story:
We notice those who need our help
We ask them how we can pray for them
We believe in FAITH that we CAN pray for healing and wholeness for others.
We ask God to give us what we need to take action and help others as he asked his heavenly Father and took action.
